NATAL

During the Christmas holidays, the nights are the longest of the year. The stars shine more brightly, and, as when we were children, we try to understand what lies beyond the stars and the universe. Natal brings us closer to this immense, magical, and mysterious sky of Christmas night, where music and contemporary circus come together hand in hand.

The protagonists of Natal are a group of old friends who recall the genuine and innocent questions they asked themselves when they were children. The starry Christmas sky invites them to reunite and to recover that childlike feeling of immensity and wonder, of curiosity and, above all, of the desire to keep being surprised and to keep learning — a feeling that, as we grow older, may fade away until it disappears.

Through acrobatics, aerials, singing, laughter, dancing, and live electronic music performed by children, the protagonists of this piece will play with everything they left undiscovered long ago, inviting us to enjoy a winter’s night under an immense sky full of stars.
