FANG (clay)

"Premi especial Zirkolika, 2017"

"Nominació als premis de la crítica per millor música original , 2017"

"Nominat millor espectacle de circ, Premis TB, 2018"

A 500 kg cube of clay at the center of the stage. A 70 kg human body. Two elements as different as they are similar. By finding connections between the two, the performance journeys through a realistic and dreamlike imagery, where clay and body become one and the same.

The foundation of the show is the relationship between clay and the body, delving into their capacity to mold and be molded through circus acrobatics. With these acrobatics, the artist’s body is transformed by the clay that sticks to it, while the acrobatics performed on the clay transform the material itself. The manipulation of clay on stage takes the audience on a journey through a performance full of unique and evocative shapes and sculptures. This approach makes the show different every time it is performed, surprising both the audience and the artist. As the show unfolds, the physical changes in both materials are revealed. The human body tires, the clay deforms. Both sweat. The line separating them blurs, and the bodies end up becoming one.
